Multimedia Design
In the first lesson of this week, our teacher started the lesson with a training consisting of general principles about visual design. In this course, which we have covered over the slide, we have covered the basic needs of visual design under the following headings:
- First, we talked about alignment. Alignment is a title used in graphic design to ensure that the elements in a design are in a certain order, look visually pleasing, and take on an official format. The basis here is the arrangement of the work done as part of a whole. It prevents irrelevant and inappropriate uses.
- Our second topic is the contrast. Contrast can be defined as the difference between two or more elements. The contrast in itself can be divided into a contrast of size, color , shape and type. Each of these is used by graphic designers in different studies.
- Our other topic, the emphasis, is the subtitle, which aims to draw the viewer's attention to a specific point in the design. We see that emphasis is used in most areas of design, including architecture, landscape design and fashion design. Attention will be drawn here, so the item to be highlighted can be anything. Graphic designers can do this as I will show in the examples :
- The last subtitle we are dealing with this week is the unity of multimedia design. Unity means that all parts of the design belong to each other and look in harmony. At the same time, it is the design principle that combines all other principles on one work and makes it pleasing to the eye.
- In addition, our teacher touched on some more important points in addition to the slide. The presentation to be created should have a design in the center, this design should be determined according to the topic and slides should be created in accordance with the design. Items must be placed in a layout. Design should play a complementary role in the learning experience. The elements used in the presentation should not only be visual, but useful and connected with the topic. At the same time, these items should not be distracting and distracting things from the subject. Here are the principles of multimedia design in general terms and its place in education this week we have processed in this way.
- This picture is from our teacher's presentation. It is very helpful to learning of slide design. For this reason I want to share it in my blog.
Coursera Part
I will talk about the third and fourth week of the training that we follow in parallel with the lesson on the Coursera website in my article this week. The module starts with an information section that gives an overview of the three weeks. In summary, the topic to be explained is explained as follows: this section will contribute to creating an educational environment diversified and enabled by technology. The first part of third week's education, is emphasizes the design and technology part of the theme of which this lesson cover. If I may mention the things that remain in my mind and what I have learned, although the integration of e-learning and technology into education has been tried many times, problems have been encountered, as a result of which the topic of learning motivation has come to the agenda and has become the subject of research. When designing a learning environment, participation and motivation in this learning process should be taken into account. Another factor is the environment. The environment should be in a position that allows students to learn about the learning activities, learning outcomes and relevance during the teaching process, and the student should believe in the environment. Students want to feel that they belong to the learning process, they want to be satisfied with the result that will come out at the end of the process. When these are counted, students will be able to be motivated spontaneously. In the second video of the third week, topics such as the meaning of transactional distance, conceptual elements of the theory, its principles and application were discussed. This theory has been seen as the framework for distance learning, online courses and programs. In fact, the emphasis mentioned here is on moving away from face-to-face training in the classroom and training conducted on servers at the computer. In addition, the transactional distance theory consists of three main topics: structure, autonomy and dialogue, and these factors are mentioned with examples in the video. In another video, the main types of disabilities and AT were mentioned. In fact, the main issue that was asked to be given here was that disabled people should also receive their share of these technological developments that are integrated into education in today's developing and changing world. It was talked about what should be done and how to make technology effective not only for the education of healthy students, but also for students with disabilities. As another topic, in the last video, the statistical data of research conducted in America about the Internet use of individuals over the age of sixty-five, and in the light of these data, it is mentioned that the use of social media and the Internet is also useful at this age. Technology has a benefit not only for young people, but for people of all ages. For example, the following example in the video seemed very reasonable to me, elderly people who cannot travel easily can make instant video calls with their relatives living miles away thanks to technology and social media. Telknology also has a very important position in the prevention and treatment of physical, neurological, psychological and many other kinds of disorders related to aging. In addition, this section also contained information about how a learning environment should be created when the target audience is the elderly.

Explanations are good.
